We have been learning all about how animals can make themselves almost invisible in their surroundings. We looked at how lots of animals are camouflaged.
We used pastels to have a go at creating our own animal print pictures. Can you remember why animals might need to be camouflaged?
I think some animals need to be camouflaged so they can hide from other things that want to eat them
I think you are right Erin. The zebras can hide really well in the long grass, you have to look really carefully to see them.

So their enemies do not attack and eat them.

Wow Y2! I’m really impressed with animal print pictures. They look very realistic, the zebras coats here in Tanzania look just like your pictures and the giraffes have exactly the same pattern on their skin as you have drawn. Do you know why animals have these patterns on them? I’ll keep checking your blog to see if anyone can answer my question..
