It was another exciting week at HCPS last week. Children are starting to explore and get into their new topics. Y3/4 pupils enjoyed getting out and about and finding out some of the secrets of the area they live in and next week are heading to the coal mining museum in Wakefield and on Friday morning the children who attend cookery club went to Pizza Express and made some pizzas from scratch.
On Thursday we had our assessment to become a teaching school and will find out if we have been successful in March. A group of teachers on Friday also took part in some great training at Thornbridge outdoors so we can deliver some new and exciting activities on the Y6 residential in February.
As ever the stars of the week were rewarded at ‘Dining with the stars’, this week’s stars were there again for a fantastic range of reasons. Again so many of them were for working hard and putting 100% effort in and not giving up so well done to you all.
Attendance for last week was an impressive 98%, as ever thank you for your continued efforts and as always if there is anything about your child’s education that you wish to discuss please do not hesitate to come and see me.

So far foundation stage hasn’t put any thing on the blog about 100% attendance so I’ll say it on the best head teachers blog. So well done guys you must be really loving school to be having the best attendance ever you keep it up and you will encourage other children too come to school I’m going too say it once more time well done! 🙂
Mr
I agree Alesha they really do deserve a well done and you are right if children enjoy the learning they are doing at school it really does help attendance, thank you for your comment.
