It has been a great week of the arts and the class and I are looking forward to sharing what we’ve done with all who venture into school tomorrow. Just to wet your appetites here’s a little preview of what Y3/4H have been upto…
Monday – Dance with Louise Wilkes, putting the moves to a Hoyland Hop. Followed by a 2014 calendar competition with the task of depicting Lowe Stand in a month of the year.
Tuesday/Wednesday – Trips to Cannon Hall for work on oriental inspired music, drawing and origami. And in school the introduction to the tale of the Wantley Dragon that led to groups using collage to create their own representations.
Thursday – Story Dramas in the schools very own amphitheatre, bringing to life the tale of the Wantley Dragon. Also a fantastic visit from the Worsbrough Brass Band allowing all to participate and experience a wide range of brass and percussion instruments.
A shame such a great week has to come to an end but also looking forward to what the last day will bring. Hope these few pics showing such a small part of what these fab kids have been getting up to inspires you to come along and see more.
Thanks HCPS arts team for putting on this brilliant week of learning, skills and experience building and some great fun.
