It has been another fantastic week of learning at Hoyland Common Primary School. Some of the highlights have been Y3/4 pupils finding a range of artefacts when completing their archeological dig, it will be great trying to track down where they are from.

Y6 pupils have started their forensic science project to identify the thief who stole the treasure map found when developing the end of the school field. So please do have a look at your child’s class blog and make a comment on the amazing work they have been doing.

It was the first of the schools ongoing program of sporting events this week and children in both KS1 and KS2 completed their first cross country event of the year.

Today was celebration assembly, and this weeks stars of the week showed fantastic attitudes towards their learning in a variety of different subjects. Well done to you all.

Next week will see the start of the range of after school clubs we deliver, there are still a few spaces in some of the clubs so please enquire at the office if your child is interested. And as always if you have any worries or concerns about your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact me or catch me on the playground in a morning.
