It has been another fantastic week at Hoyland Common Primary School, the highlights of the week have undoubtedly been the wonderful Foundation Stage and KS1 Christmas performances. The children were absolutely fantastic and thoroughly entertaining. Thank you to all those parents and families that attended.
This week was also parents evening and it was brilliant to speak to so many parents who were thrilled about how well their children are doing. If for whatever reason you have not had a parents evening appointment please do get in touch with your child’s class teacher to arrange one.
As ever a child from each class has been selected to be star of the week. This week’s stars have been selected for such reasons as, always being ready to learn, for a fantastic effort in literacy, for always putting 100% effort in and for having pride in everything they do. Well done to you all and enjoy dining with the stars.
Attendance has continued to be positive this week and many children have again completed the full week for attendance advent. Well done to you all, let’s keep that attendance as positive as possible all the way to the end of term.
In other news next week are the Christmas parties, I’m sure all children are looking forward to that. It is the school Christmas dinner on Thursday and children are invited to wear a Christmas jumper and also don’t forget get your parent questionnaires back in, your feedback about school is highly valued. As ever if there is anything you wish to discuss about your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact a member of the HCPS team.
