We visited children’s centre this morning to spend some time with Julie Smith, a forest schools teacher.
Julie showed us how to light a fire safely and Bradley used a special tool to make a spark and light the fire.
After the fire was lit Julie cooked us some sausages In a frying pan. Olivia coated the bottom of the pan with washing up liquid to stop the fire turning it black.
After playtime we ate our delicious warm sausages.
But why do we light bonfires on November the 5th? Can anyone remember what happened to start the tradition?
