What a fantastic day at The Lamproom Theatre for our own production of Shakespeare’s Richard III. It was great to see 39 children rehearsing and performing our own version of Shakespeare’s tragedy. The comments and feedback from the audience has been amazing. Thank you to all those people who came to watch the children. Once again they exceeded all expectations and made us all very proud. Look out for the article in Barnsley Chronicle on Friday. A DVD of the performance will be available for you to re-live the story of England’s most hated King. This is our 7th performance of a Shakespeare play and we are looking forward to what next year brings.

Sue
I saw the performance of Richard III today and was once again impressed and moved by the amazing performance.
As an early years teacher I recognise the hard (but rewarding) time given by your staff team that is so often not publicly acknowledged. I think parents and families do appreciate you though – I sometimes collect my great-niece from ‘Shakespeare Club’ and have never overheard anything other than positive comments whilst waiting in reception..
Congratulations and thank you for today’s experience,. The value for the children involved, either as players or audience, is immeasurable and something they will remember all of their lives.

Good Morning Sue,
Thank you very much for taking the time to make such kind and positive comments. I would 100% agree with you that yesterdays performance was absolutely mind blowing, we undoubtedly have so many incredibly talented young children and as Head Teacher that does make me very proud. Here’s looking forward to the Y6 end of the year show, I already know it will be fantastic!
