This week in year5/6 we’re having a science focus based around the forces and upthrust.
Earlier in the week we had a re-cap of what we already knew and have covered about forces. While yesterday we got hands on with learning about upthrust! What have you learnt so far?
I really enjoyed the science day Mr Hastey .I really enjoyed making the boats and I really enjoyed putting the tinfoil in and we got 200 in our tinfoil boat thank you for that day Mr Hastey.
Wow Mr Hasteys class it seems that you have been busy in year one we,ve been larning about jack and the beanstalk and i have got 5 monster points 1 for good work one for good work again and one for good sitting and one for good sitting again and for good work well done Natillya thankyou.
I really enjoyed the science day because I got to learn about upthrust and gravity and the if the object sinks the gravity is better than upthrust at this point. If the object floats the upthrust is better than the gravity.
I learnt a lot that day it was the beast science lesson ever.

If the object sinks the gravity is grater than the up thrust .To get it to float you’ll have to change the shape off the object .If it dose float the gravity and the up thrust will be equal .
