This week really was a significant week in the history of Hoyland Common Primary School, as I am sure you are all now aware we converted to become an academy on Tuesday which will allows us some freedoms to continue to keep pushing Hoyland Common Primary School forward.

Again it has been fantastic to see a wonderful range of learning taking place and this really was evident in the ‘learning walk’ that senior leaders completed on Thursday morning.

Wednesday was school photo day, it was great to see all pupils turning up with brothers and sister smiling away, I’m sure there will be lots of grandparents clearing spaces on their mantel piece.

This weeks stars of the week have impressed in a wide range of areas, but it it’s great to see how many children have been given star of the week in relation to a general positive attitude towards learning. Well done to you all.

Attendance for this week was 97.3% so thank you for supporting school in ensuring your child’s attendance and the schools continues to be high.

Thank you to those parents who have taken time to talk to me about a range of things about school this week, and please do not hesitate to speak to me if you have anything to discuss in relation to your child’s education.
