Hoyland Common invited some very important visitors into school today.
Kevin Brennan, the Shadow Minister for Schools, and Michael Dugher, our local MP, visited school to promote #barnsleyisbrill and to view the strengths of the school.
They were given a tour of a number of classrooms and spoke with children about the learning that was going on throughout the school. They were amazed at how fantastically well the children interacted and the atmosphere within the classrooms. They also took part in some ipad animation and learnt all about the lifecycle of Frogs!!

As Chair of Governors I had the opportunity to briefly meet Mr Brennan.It was so lovely to hear how impressed he was with the school and he also commented on how articulate and polite all the pupils are. We, of course all know this, but it is great to hear such positive comments. You all make me very proud !
