It has been another busy week at Hoyland Common Primary School, the week started with the pupils in Y3/4 visiting the film and photography museum in Bradford as part of their ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ topic, they learnt all about television and film and how TV programmes are made.

On Thursday the whole school celebrated St George’s day and the learning right across school was based on St George. The farm shop in foundation stage has now moved outside with the wonderful weather we have been having and children have continued to enjoy seeing and tasting the fantastic produce that has been donated.

The stars of the week this week have been selected for demonstrating to the best of their ability one of the Hoyland Common Primary School Rules, this has included working hard as part of a team, being helpful, demonstrating excellent behaviour, for always helping others and also for being selected for South Yorkshire Boys under 11s Cricket team.

In other news I would like to thank Mr Fearon for all his hard work during his university placement working with Mr Hardy delivering endless sport and activity opportunities for children.

Please keep sending your proud selfies to be added to our tweetbeam #hcpsproudselfie to really celebrate the countless amazing things HCPS children do both in and out of school.

As ever is there is anything you wish to discuss about your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact me or one of the HCPS team.
