Today we received a video showing what is reported to be ‘The Beast of Hoyland Common’. We watched it carefully and then went out into the school grounds to look for evidence. Can you remember what we found? What clues had the Beast left behind?

We found scratch marks on the trees and the fens ,and foot prints plus I saw a bit of FUR!
What was the fur like Molly,? The scratches were deep, what sort of claws do you think the Beast has?
The beast looked like half yack and mamouth ,racoon

i watched my video and i loved it so much. because it was entertaining.
We found scratches and a foot print and we also found scratches on fences and on the floor. On the fence that says slippy we found teeth marks. And we found 4 big trees nocked down.
I wondered if those were teeth mark too Anabelle. I also wondered if all the scratches were from the Beast sharpening its claws. What do you think
My little brother got really scared watching the video!!!
My uncle said he was the Hoyland Common beast, but I don’t think so!!!!
When we went and explored the woods I found it really scary but I was resilient and stuck at it!!
I think the beast will be friendly because it didn’t attak the teacher that was filming the beast.
Well done for being resilient Scarlett! I think the Beast will be friendly too, I think it’s probably scared of us and only comes out when there is no one around.

Erin and I watched the video this morning before school, Erin had to cover her eyes a couple of times!

I’m exctied to find out what kind of animal the beast is and other amazing things about it. I think the beasts is a gruffallo because it is very ,very hairy and has purple spikes all over it’s back.
I am researching all I can about the beast but it has no clear pictures of the beast.
