The first half term of the academic year comes to a close today and it has been one filled with lots of learning and achievements!
School have been awarded the “Sports Games Gold Mark” for recognition of all our sporting achievements that we undertook in 2015-2016! A huge well done to the Sports Team at HCPS!
We have also successfully obtained for the 2nd time the NAACE mark, this mark acknowledges schools with good use of technology to support teaching, learning and school administration. Again congratulations to the ICT Team for ensuring we continued to reach the level of excellence required.
The School became a Multi Academy Trust on the 01st October, again a huge achievement and we are continually striving to improve standards as well as collaborating with Ward Green Primary School who converted with us.
Children have excelled this term, and are all involved in their topics and there is a real passion for learning that can be seen clearly throughout school!
This week and last, Year 5 children completed their Bikeability training, they have all achieved their level one award and the vast majority have also completed level two!
Year 6 children have visited Thornbridge this week, and it was amazing to see them all growing in character as the week has progressed, becoming more and more resilient and maturing. I am sure when they arrive back today, they will all be exhausted but full of the tales and adventures from the week!
Once again, the Stars of the Week have been selected from an array of reasons, some of which are; always having a positive attitude to learning and being polite and caring, fantastic writing in literacy, hard work in all that they do, being fantastic role models and even writing their own book!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and pupils for making this half term an enjoyable one and I look forward to seeing you all after the week break!
