This week we have been using our research skills to find out all about the Great Fire of London. We used diary accounts to write our own eye witness account. We also looked at paintings of the fire. We talked about why there weren’t any photographs of the event and why we couldn’t watch videos of it. We mixed our own paint to create flame colours and used pastels to add detail to our pictures. I enjoyed mixing colours. I used red,orange and yellow.
You mixed lots of different shades of orange Erin, your flames look very real.
I liked doing the pastels best because it were easier then painting because it has more colours
It was easier to blend the pastel colours Amelia, but I think you did really well mixing paint to create your own shades of orange.

The great fire started on September 2nd 1666 pudding lane EC3. It spread all over London because the houses were so close together. 12000 houses got burnt down.
