It has been a busy week as ever at Hoyland Common Primary School. Year 2 pupils have started their KS1 SATs completing all their maths papers and there has been a real buzz from the children about doing the test. I am sure you will also support me in wishing all the Y6 pupils all the best for their SATs test next week, they have put in 100% effort in in preparation and are now chomping at the bit to take the tests and Y6’s don’t forget to come to breakfast club next week!

This weeks stars of the week have been selected for a whole host of reasons including having a great attitude towards learning, for been caring and considerate towards class members, their work on angles in maths, for been a brilliant role model and for continued effort in reading and writing. Well done to you all and I hope you enjoyed dining with the stars.

In other news this week  a huge congratulations to Gabby in Y5 who has been selected to represent England in the Dance World Cup in Jersey this summer, we will all be cheering you along! Attendance this week has taken a bit of a dip, I am sure we will be back on track next week and in the weeks running up to half term.

As ever if there is anything you wish to discuss about you child’s education please do not hesitate to contact me or one of the HCPS team.
