It has been another incredibly busy week at Hoyland Common Primary School and a particularly festive one! On Tuesday and Wednesday KS1 pupils did their Christmas play, they were absolutely fantastic and thank you to all the parents who attended and really enjoyed it.

Thursday and Friday saw the Foundation Stage nativity, which again showed just how confident and amazing even our youngest children are, and once again a big thank you to all those parents for attending.

Thursday also saw the culmination of all the hard work of the children in Y3/4 with their fantastic Egyptian museum, the range of stalls, information and artefacts that was on display was amazing, I certainly enjoyed it and I am sure all those people who attended did too.

The stars of the weeks this week showed just how amazing they were for a wide range of reasons including, having fantastic attitudes to learning, finishing all the spelling snails, for working well as part of a group and for excellent persuasive writing.

Today we were also fortunate enough to have a visit from out local MP, Michael Dugher, to present the school winners of his annual Christmas card competition, well done to Harrison, Max and Macy.

And finally I would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Joyce. It has now been 20 years to the day since she started work at Hoyland Common Primary School, thank you for her hard work and commitment during the time she has been here.
