Once again it has been a busy week at HCPS, practice for the Nativity and KS1 Christmas Performances are well underway and coming together nicely. Y3/4 Pupils have been designing the packaging for the products they are selling at the Christmas fair next week and Y5/6 pupils have also finished the World War One trench models they have been making ready to be displayed.
The Stars of the Week this week were selected for a wide variety of reasons including, having a great attitude to learning and working hard, for applying good thinking skills, for completing a fantastic homework mission and for doing brilliant work in literacy, well done to you all and I hope you enjoyed dining with the stars.
Thank you for so many of you getting your parents evening letters back to school, your confirmed times will be sent home with pupils this evening and if you have not yet booked an appointment please contact your child’s teacher.
Attendance this week was 96% but next week is the start of attendance awareness month and I am sure we will all do our best to get attendance as high as possible for the month.
Next Friday is the Christmas Fair, there will be a whole host of different stalls and activities and we very much look forward to seeing you there.
As ever is there is anything you wish to discuss about your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact me or one of the Hoyland Common Primary School team.
