This week we have been inventing our own time machines to take us back in time. We gathered all our ideas together, chose our best design, made a list of what we would need and then made them. This afternoon we have been evaluating our models and peer assessing each other’s time machines. What did you use to make your time machine? How did you make parts of it move? What would you do differently next time?

Did you use the glue gun to stick your parts together Judd? Your model looks really good. What might you improve if you designed it again?
Yes I used the glue gun, it was easy. If I made my model again I would remember to turn the box inside out before I painted it.
Good idea Judd. Maybe you could remind everyone about that next time.
I know Judd has enjoyed making time machines because he has spoke about it every night and loved looking for bits of materials to make them with.
I’m glad Judd enjoyed this, he had lots of good ideas for things his time machine would need. He planned it carefully and included lots of detail. Maybe we can use it to transport us through time to Summer, I don’t know about you but I’m getting a bit fed up of all this wind and rain.
I loved making models .if I did it again I would change my box and when we paint them I would change it to have lots of beautiful colours. I love making things.
We probably needed a bit more time to add more colour and detail Jessica but I think your model looks pretty impressive.

What i enjoyed most was the painting.
Wow, these time machines are awesome! Where would you go to in time if you could get these working? Would you go to the future or would you go back in time?
I would love to go back in time to see what our country was like when not many people lived here.
We are hoping to use our time machines to take us on an adventure next week. We’ll have to see what year we end up in.
I liked making the clocks and the painting . Next time I would do the shape different and use less masking tape.
Why would you use less masking tape Kate? What could you use instead?
