Today we took a role in dermatoglyphics, the scientific examination of fingerprints. Preparing our skills to collect the fingerprints of the top suspects and identify distinguishable features that could link them to those found at the scene of the crime.
What types of fingerprint did you have? Which features did you find? How did you find this task?
I have really enjoyed this week looking at our fingerprints. It looks like mine are all Whorls on my right hand and I found a bridge and a dot on mine.
The finger prints that I had were arches and loops, in my finger prints I found a dot and a bifurcation. I thought this task was really fun. ?
?????? ha ha Charlie’s face in a picture was really funny, I aboustley loved doing the fingerprints and I learnt from the lesson that your fingerprint can be a mixture of stuff for example you can have a arch mixed with a whorl. Mr Tallant still is suspicious, I am watching you Mr T ?????????????
All of my finger prints are loops accept one and that is an arch. I think it is Miss o’niel. I thought being a dermatologist was really fun but very useful for when we had to take our suspects fingerprint.
when I looked at mine they were they were arches and whirls, I never thourght to look that close at my fingers before.
I’ve loved this week. The fingerprinting was amazing but I’ve not done Mr Fallon but he does look really guilty. Most of my fingers are whorls and loops but my middle finger is a loop/arch. I wonder if Mr Fallons fingerprints look like the ones on the cup.
Chantelle I agree with you Miss Wood and Mr Tallant do look very suspicious but also does Mr Fallon. Does the persons fingerprint that your interviewing match the ones on the cup?
Hey Mr Hastey at the weekend ( Saturday ) I played Wickersley and we won 6-0 My football mate Embony scored 4 and Evie scored 2. Leah,me,Emily and Maddie nearly scored a few times.
On my finger prints I had 9 loops and one whorl. I found the task quite hard, because I had to re print my finger prints several times as they were smudged and too faint to see.
I really liked taking the finger prints.
It was really fun analysing the prints for simbuls I didn’t know that we had simbuls in are fingers I just thought we had lines on them.
I really enjoyed finding the special features in our finger prints. Four of my fingers are loops and the other one is an arch and a loop . I cant wait till we have our next CSI lesson . I THINK MR TALLANT IS THE SUSPECT. P.S. sorry Mr T !!!!!!!
I am really enjoying the CSI topic in Class 10. On my fingers I had all loops but on my thumb I had a whorl. The best thing so far about the CSI topic is when we got to take our suspects fingerprints to see if they matched up onto the cups. My suspect is Miss Wood, she looks very suspicious (ill figure you out Miss Wood !!!) Sorry about losing your 100% attendance Mr Hastey I will bring you some rock back in return 🙂
I think Miss Wood and Mr Tallant both sound really guilty…
On Friday I really enjoyed using the microscopes, I never knew that you could see so much detail by using them. I hope we’ll find the killer soon, I bet it is either Miss O’Neil or Mr Tallant.
I really enjoyed learning how to collect fingerprints to see who donnit I think it was Mr.Hackney
I really liked using the microscopes to get a better idea of who it is and also I think it’s Mr.Hackney.
I had a great time doing the finger prints it was fun but I think the killer is Mr Tallant he has been looking a bit shifty but we never know who it could be but we still have more clues to find out and discover. Thanks Mr Hastey for the great lesson.
…and also Mr Hastey we had a football game on Sunday ( my birthday) we were losing 2-0 then we pulled it back to 5-2 by the end of the match!
