Yesterday we celebrated St George’s Day.  We listened to the story and then discussed it with a partner. Then we had a challenge. We were each given a piece of a picture of a dragon to paint.             Finally we put all the pictures together to make the dragon….

Chester Zoo was amazing. 

We saw so many animals today! Elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, lions, tigers, bears, cheetahs, chimpanzees, orangutans, monkeys…and so many more! We found out lots of new facts about all the curious animals. It was fantastic.

Pet day in year 2

Some children very kindly brought in their pets today so that we could discuss and write about the different animals we have in our homes. We had a guinea pig, gerbils, a hamster, a tortoise, a snail and a rabbit. Wow!
