Y5/6 have had an interesting day at the Galleries of Justice today.
We learnt about crime and punishment in the 1800’s and also took part in a Victorian trial.

Do you know I thought the hat was the most inhumane thing there, I would rather be punished than cut off from human contact.
I’m not including the horrors from the dungeons in that statement!
I think we’re very lucky today don’t you?
I really loved the mock trial because I was a member of the jury so I got to decide if the people were guilty/not guilty. I loved it !!!
.I learnt that Murray pulls a extremely weird face when he’s about to die.
.I enjoyed hmm EVERY THING!
.I also enjoyed mrs Moxon’s halarious shimmy that is a moment I will never forget! 🙂
i am glad that they do that too and i like going in the dungeons i was scared at first!
I loved it there but I didn’t like the prisons because it was dark and spooky. I was scared a bit when she locked us in a dark room. When we went into the galleries there was a section where you could dress up and I dressed up as a knight. I thought the best part of it all was little play, I was Jhon’s mother.
I learnt that if you steal bad things can happen to you like Jhon and Isabella.
I learnt that women only needed 5 minutes every day and Men was lucky they got 1 hour
I really enjoyed the trip to courts of justice but Murray didn’t really like it! 🙂
that trip was great because it was unlike any other school trip and it was differant but my favoraye bit was the cout case in the end they where both GUILTY!
It was so cool because there was loads of things like were there were places you hang people and stocks what we could go and act like we were one of those people who had to!!!
I loved it at court of justice but it lookes like Murray didn’t.
