World Book Day

I have just seen a fantastic blog post on Mrs Paddock’s class page, so thought we would give it a go too!

In preparation for World Book Day I would like to find out what your favourite books are and who your favourite authors are. Share your ideas on this blog and let’s see if we can create our own bookshop! If you see someone else’s comment and want to know more about their book then ask them. Maybe you could make a recommendation for someone based on the book they have shared?

Here are some questions that may help you:

Who is your favourite character in your book? Why?
What is your favourite part in the book? Why?
Would you recommend your book to a friend? Why?

1. My favourite book is Mr. Gum and the Biscuit Billionare, by Andy Stanton. It is a great book and every time I read it, it makes me laugh. I would recommend it to anyone who has a passion for reading.

2. My favourite author is Andy Stanton, the man who wrote Mr. Gum and the Biscuit Billionare. The books by him I have read make me laugh all the time and I can’t resist reading them again and again and again.

For world book day I’m coming as the princess from Katie and the Spanish princess it’s unusual, funny and I guess she’s a bit of a drama queen! The author is named James mythew and it was published in 2006. Basically it’s about a young princess called princess and its her 7th birthday and she is puzzled on what to wear so she called over her pen pall and asked her to come over so she came all the way from England with 100 dresses probably more. I like and picked this story becaus of it’s sarcasm. I’ve also come in this because my pen pall showed me the book and its a bit of a coincidence. My favourite part is when the first dress she try’s on is the one she wears!

My favourite books are the hetty feather collection (sapphire battersea, emerald star and diamond) which is wrote by Jacqueline Wilson, and is also my favourite author. My favourite character is hetty because she never gives up even though she was brought up in a foundling hospital. She went off to London by her self to watch a circus and she has the most amazing names, hetty, sapphire and emerald. 🙂

My favourite book is Enchanted Palace.My favourite author is Rosie Banks.Probably the best character in my favourite book is Summer, because she does the most in the story.The best part in this story for me is when three girls find out that there is a king and a pixie in their wardrobe.

My favourite book is the Diary of Anne Frank. I have read it so many times and it always reminds me of how lucky we are to live our lives in freedom! What an amazing story of one girl’s struggle to cope with growing up in such bleak and challenging times.

My favourite books are the Naughtiest Girl books by Enid Blyton. My favourite character is Elizibeth Allen (the main character). I like Elizibeth because she always fights for the truth in people and won’t give up. My favourite book out of them all is probably The first one which is called ‘The Naughtiest girl in the school’. I like this book the most because it makes you feel like Elizebeth who at first tries to be Naughty to get out of her new boarding school but in the end there’s a twist and she wants to carry on going to the boarding school. I’d recommend it to a friend because it really makes you feel like you are in the boarding school feeling the feelings everyone feels and living the life that everyone lives. Sadly Enid Blyton has passed away but I still believe her stories are the best. Also can anybody tell me why Enid Blyton explains about the weekly meetings (a feature in the book) in every single book?

1. My favourite book is the famous five books they’re so exciting to read i just want to read more .
2. My favorite authors are j k rowling and enid byiton they’re very good adventure books for children.
3. My favourite character in the famous five is Annie. She’s the youngest but she’s like a mum cleaning up and looking after the rest of the five.
4. My favorite part in the first famous five book is when they get lost on the island where there is some treasure because, it happens when there is a storm going on and its just the worst place to have a storm at kirrin cottage.
5. I would recomend it to a friend beacause its my favourite adventure book and its so imaginative and i think they would enjoy it as much as me.We both like adventue stories as much as were best friends.
Me and my friend both love Jaquline Wilson but it just can not beat enid blytons books to me. When you read her books you just want to believe you are there and you are really a part of the big adventure with the famous five. I can not resist the famous five.

I am really happy to see that you are still reading and enjoying some of the books that the staff in school used to read. Enid Blyton has written some amazing books and they never get old.

My favourite book is diary of a wimpy kid hard luck.
The author of this book is Jeff Kinney.
My favourite character in the book is Greg Hefley because he is the main character and you find out a lot about him in the diary of a wimpy kid books.
My favourite part of the book is the start because it talks a lot about his feelings because his best fiend Rowley gets a girl friend and he is unhappy and left out when this happens in the book.
I would recommend this book to a friend as you don’t just read you can look at the illustrations and they tell you a lot as well.

My fave is Roald Dahl or Quiantan Blake (I think that’s how you spell it) but I love authors like Charles dickens and William shake sphere because they have very cool stories but my fave book is Matilda!
